• Usage data: Anonymized analytics on feature usage to improve the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the CastIQ service.
• To generate personalized AI fishing recommendations based on your local conditions and catch history.
• To process subscription payments and send billing notifications.
• To display your shared catches on the community map (only when you opt in).
• To send important service-related emails (e.g., account, billing, major updates).

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:

• With payment processors (Base44 Payments) to handle subscription billing.
• With weather data providers (Open-Meteo) to fetch conditions — these requests include only your coordinates, not your identity.
• With AI providers to generate recommendations — prompts contain weather data and aggregated catch stats, not personally identifiable information.
• If required by law or to protect the safety of users.

4. Community Features

If you choose to share a catch to the community map, your catch details (species, location, photo) will be visible to other CastIQ users. You can unshare a catch at any time from your Catch Log. Your exact GPS coordinates are rounded before display to protect your fishing spot privacy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Payment records may be retained as required by financial regulations.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

CastIQ uses browser local storage to cache weather data and offline catches for a better experience. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

CastIQ is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us through the App.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
